Welcome to the University of Alabama in Huntsville's "Marketing in an Electronic Environment", MKT 470/570. This course was originally designed to "focus on the strategic implications of electronic commerce for both the consumer and business-to-business marketplace with emphasis on the use of electronic marketing as a strategic tool in gaining and sustaining a competitive advantage." The purpose of this course is not to teach you how to create web pages. The concept behind the creation of this class is to analyze the strategic tools and concepts of E-Business and their use in E-Marketing.
This course will be fast-paced, information intensive, interactive, and
hands-on. You can expect that the course and its requirements will change and
evolve, reflecting the dynamic environment in which e-business is conducted. You
must have the motivation to keep up with the changing nature of the Internet,
this class and its assignments.
