These photos are from my backpacking trip to Mt. Ranier Washington (July-Aug 2004).   I gave myself this trip to celebrate my 50th birthday, emphasizing all the new things I can experience in the coming years. This was an REI Adventure trip of 10 women.   Surprisingly, 4 of  the 10 women had turned 50 in the last few months.
