
The College of Business Administration offers specialized coursework in management and accounting targeted toward the needs of federal agencies and federal contractors. Students interested in careers in this sector are encouraged to study contract management, acquisitions management, supply chain management, and contract accounting. With the relocation of the Material Command to Redstone Arsenal, most of the new jobs will be tied to the many business processes that underlie the specification, negotiation, purchase, transport, and security of military supply needs.
The College of Business Administration has one of the few Information Systems programs in the southeast to have SAP software available for educational purposes. SAP software is used to manage many aspects of information intensive decision processes in businesses - and is particularly valuable in the College's interdisciplinary approach to Supply Chain Management, an area where it has very distinctive abilities. NASA and Army Aviation & Missile Command are actively recruiting CBA Information Systems graduates because of the high demand for this knowledge and experience.
