UAH Campus Visit Day, CAS Computer Lab Session, Continued

UAH Administrative Science  freshmen are required to acquire the basic level of computer literacy covered in MIS 146, Computer Applications in Business. This course covers Microsoft Windows XP and the Microsoft Office Professional suite of applications and is designed to give students a through "hands-on" introduction to word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation graphic software. Incoming freshmen with skills in some or all of these areas have the option to take 3-credit hours in more advanced computer application courses. We also offer three other MIS 100-sequence 1-credit hour elective courses.

Hopefully, our students will not feel like the duck, after completing MIS  146 at UAH, and move on to to complete computer-based assignments in their upper-level courses with confidence.

Alan Whitten, whittena(at)uah.edu, did subsequently use an HTML text editor to modify the content and layout of this page. This editing involved the re-ordering of the content, splitting it into two pages (to improve modem downloading), replacement of the original clipart graphics with the photo on the first page, addition of links noted in presentation, and minor content changes.
